Description
Camp Kesem enables university students to plan and fundraise a summer camp for the children of cancer patients. The children of cancer patients is an often overlooked group, but one that suffers often just as much as the cancer patient themself. The camp provides these children the opportunity to bond with other children in their situation, and to have normal kid fun away from the numerous hospital visits and treatments they often have to attend with their parent. Camp Kesem also provides the university students planning the program to develop leadership skills and critical thinking skills that will be invaluable for the rest of their lives.
