Description

Located just outside the greater Kansas City area, Camp Encourage offers a quality overnight camp opportunity involving relationship development, recreation, and relaxation and is specifically designed to meet the needs of children and youth with autism spectrum disorders. Key components that make Camp Encourage unique include but are not limited to: direct social instruction, sensory supports, visual strategies, positive behavioral supports, peer models, ropes course and/or zipline, traditional camp activities, and activities tailored around the individual campers' interests (past offerings have included lego construction, theater, knitting, yoga, Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments, Star Wars trivia, and more).
