By Our Boot Straps is a 501 3 (c) non-profit educational and volunteer community service organization that has been serving Southeast Michigan since 1992. The efforts of this organization are to utilize educational tools, seminars, workshops and artistic avenues to address social problems in the lives of young people. We are committed to providing youth at risk and families and communities as a whole with cultural and educational activities that enhance youth to make positive decisions regarding education, health concerns, substance abuse prevention and treatment, family violence prevention, teen pregnancy prevention, abstinence, job skills and career choices.
