ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT - MICRO ENTERPRISE - ENTREPRENEURSHIP. Neighborhood Self Employment Initiative dba Business Owenrship initiative of Indiana is a 501(c)(3) micro enterprise organiztaton (since 1997). BOI assists individuals wanting to increase household income through business ownership. BOI focuses on individual asset building and provides client intake on self employment goals, inventory of assets, mutually creates an individual development plan to reach goals, provides 175+ workshops, one-one-one business counseling, life coaching, micro-loan fund and technical financial assistance. BOI targets all wanting to reach economic self sufficiency through self employment either starting or growing a business. Though BOI serves everyone, the majority of its clients are those not in the economic mainstream.
