Description

Burma Humanitarian Mission is a non-profit organization that seeks to empower people around the world to exercise their health to advocate for a healthy, democratic and vibrant Burma where the human rights of all people are protected. We support community based healthcare and education projects that improve the lives of the people of Burma and refugees from Burma.

BHM has been organized as a non-profit corporation to operate within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Specifically to:
(a) Assist backpack medics who administer village health care services in Karen State and throughout eastern Burma through the provisioning of medicine and supplies for basic health care services and through financial support of backpack medics training.

(b) Support other projects that promote the well-being and quality of life of Internally and Externally displaced people of Burma.

(c) Meet with political prisoners, dissidents, and democracy activists and interview them to document human rights abuses occurring throughout Burma.

(d) Align with other organizations who are either pro-democracy or that respond to the humanitarian crisis in Burma.

(e) Advocate for the well-being of the people of Burma.
