Description

Shambhala Healing Tools and The Buddha Maitreya Monastery in Kelseyville is a working charity which raises funding for the building of the monastery, which is 1/2 completed, and charities in Nepal and Tibet. The organization is a 501 c and it supports 2 health clinics in Katmandu, several monasteries in the area and various monasteris in Tibet. The monastery has a goal to serve the local community in Kelseyville, Ca. with programs for longetivity, help for longetivity programs for the elderly, monastic retreats, programs to help the youth in the area and drug problems. It is an Eco Friendly Site. The site is powered off the grid, with Solar, Geo Thermal and Wind Power. It has a charging station for electric cars and allows only hybrids and electric cars on the monastery. There will be hydroponic foods and fish stocked in man made lake. It will be a prototype of how people can live in an eco friendly fashion in tune with zero emissions.
