Description
Bridges to a Brighter Future is a pre-college academic enrichment program for Greenville County High School students with strong educational and leadership potential, who are living in difficult and seriously challenging circumstances. This year-round program includes an intensive, four-week, summer residential experience and a year-round Saturday College program held on the Furman University (Greenville, SC) campus. The mission of Bridges to a Brighter Future is to provide selected low-income students from challenging family circumstances with the tools and support needed to graduate from high school and enroll in college. This objective is accomplished by providing students with life-changing experiences that build self-confidence, resiliency, leadership, character, and academic achievement. Students are selected ninth graders and continue in the program through high school graduation. 100% of students graduate from high school and 90% enroll in college.
