Description
Bridge of Hope of York County is a Christian ministry. The mission of Bridge of Hope of York County is to prevent and end homelessness for women and children, one family at a time, with the help of trained staff and mentoring groups within local Christian church congregations. Participants are selected based on a detailed application and interview procedure; they enter the program lasting approximately 12-18 months. They receive job training, budget training, and parent training. They are supported by a mentor group of approximately 12 people from a local church and are provided rental assistance on a gradually decreasing basis until they are ultimately self-sufficient.
