Brethren Community Ministries

Brethren Community Ministries’ mission is to assist the residents of the South Allison Hill neighborhood of Harrisburg, PA by identifying the needs of this community which can be met by the resources available to it. South Allison Hill has the largest low-income population between Philadelphia and Pittsburgh. Our current ministries include: KIDS’ Club, GED Classes, ESL Classes, Computer Classes and Lab, Food Distribution, Low-Income Housing, Legal Clinics, Community Chaplaincy, Conflict Resolution Training, Summer Camp, and Parenting Classes. Agape-Satyagraha Conflict Resolution Training for youth in the sixth through the twelveth grades is one of our core programs which we wish to feature. Adult volunteers mentor youth through five skill levels of non-violent conflict resolution.
