In the United States, BrazilFoundation organizes cultural and social events to raise funds and awareness for social investment in Brazil. Through these programs, the organization succeeds in uniting a philanthropic community of Brazilians eager to contribute to a more equitable Brazil.
The organization’s activities in Brazil are related to the selection, monitoring, and evaluation of grant recipients in five thematic areas: education, health, citizenship (civic rights and responsibilities), human rights, and culture. BrazilFoundation identifies projects qualified to provide innovative solutions to the problems encountered by underprivileged communities in Brazil. The Foundation receives proposals from all the states of Brazil, and in addition to providing financial support; it offers technical assistance and training for project administration and management.
