Brain Injury Services, Inc. is a 501 c(3) established in 1989 to improve the lives of people who are affected by brain injury through community-based services, education and advocacy. It was the first community-based brain injury program of its kind in Virginia and has subsequently helped other areas develop similar models. It continues to play a leadership role in developing specialized services for Adults and Children with brain injuries to re-enter their community and/or school. BIS services include: case management, day programs, supported living programs, specialized groups, volunteer programs, and the ability to contract for special rehabilitation and other unique services that meets the individual and their families needs.
