Description
The Brain Injury Association of Oregon,BIAOR, is a non profit organization that provides services to individuals and families throughout the state who are living with a brain injury that comes as a result of an accident, injury or illness. It is estimated that more than 33% of all returning military serving in Iraq and Afghanistan will have sustained a brain injury. Our services include annual and regional conferences, scholarships for conferences, monthly survivor meetings, quarterly newsletters, legislative advocacy, and an 800 information and referral service for survivor families and professionals. Volunteers and professionals provide these services, to over 71,000 people statewide living with a brain injury.
