Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina, Inc. is located at Lake Waccamaw, NC. The Homes was chartered in 1954. The Homes serve abused, neglected, or "otherwise-on-the street" children birth to college age. Services include Level I Residential placement on the Lake Waccamaw campus, Foster/Adoption placement working currently in seventeen southeastern North Carolina counties. The Lake Waccamaw campus includes an on-campus school, chapel ministry, farm, World of Work Program, Preparation for Independent Living and more. The Homes is seeking to become licensed as a Level II provider and to expand its reach as a Community Based provider of children and families needs.
