The Roy W. Roberts II, Watts/Willowbrook Boys & Girls Club (WWBGC) is currently celebrating its 50th year of service to the youth of the South Los Angeles communities of Watts, Willowbrook, and Compton.
The organization's mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
This is accomplished in part through youth development programs for over 2,500 boys and girls, ages 7-18. The focus has been a multi-layered approach that affects the emotional, physical, intellectual, social and leadership potential of our youth. It has moved beyond simply providing a safe haven to youth after school to providing substantive educational, leadership, technology, recreational and cultural programs for all ages – all for an annual fee of $5.00 per youth.
