Description
Nestled in a “bowl” on the south shore of Lake Superior, the Bad River Band of Chippewa Indians has approximately 450 youth. The Club is located in a small facility but this does not deter them from serving members effectively.
“Our Club is definitely not a drop-in place – our goal is to involve kids at all levels so they come back for many years to come."
Kids come directly from school, do their homework, are given a snack, participate in at least an hour of physical activity, play games, do arts and crafts, science experiments, cooking classes, and a wide variety of other activities. Whereas otherwise they would be at home alone.
