The Bowling Green State University Collegiate Chorale is a highly select mixed ensemble consisting of 28-34 voices that performs repertoire spanning from the Renaissance to the present in a variety of languages. Under the direction of Professor Timothy Cloeter, the Chorale engages audiences with authentic and conscientious performances of sophisticated and challenging music, seeking to connect listeners intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually.
The Chorale has made numerous convention appearances and has toured the United States, Canada and Europe. Recent domestic tours have included visits to New York, Boston, and New Orleans. In May of 2001, the ensemble embarked upon a two-week European tour that included performances in Munich, Salzburg, Vienna and Prague. In December of 2002, the Collegiate Chorale returned to Europe, where in addition to performances in Italy and France, members sang High Mass at the Cathedral of the Principality of Monaco on the first Sunday after Christmas. Members on the 2006 tour performed in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virgina, and North Carolina. Most recently, members on the 2013 tour performed in Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and South Carolina.
