Bottomless Closet is an innovative, not-for-profit organization created to meet the special needs of the growing number of New York City women in transition from public assistance to the workforce. Since opening its doors in 1999, Bottomless Closet’s mission has been to promote economic self-sufficiency by providing interview
skills, business clothing, and ongoing career development and support programs to economically disadvantaged women in New York City. Volunteers help more than 1,000 women each year as they prepare for job interviews and develop the vital skills necessary to manage the complexities of their professional and personal lives.
