Description
Literacy organization providing in-classroom lending libraries to schools where the majority of students are reading below grade level. Each classroom receives 250 books, and we replenish the supply every year. We hold book drives to collect the gently-used recreational reading books which going into the libraries in each classroom. As of the end of December, 2006, we are serving 82 Recipient Schools, 2400 classrooms, 49,000 at-risk students. We have collected over 750,000 books, 300,000 in the last 12 months.
