Description
Bond Street Theatre, founded in 1976, creates innovative theatre works that address social and environmental issues with imagination and clarity, and brings its works to audiences worldwide, particularly conflict zones, refugee camps, and areas in need.
Our mission is to further cross-cultural understanding by initiating and participating in community arts projects and humanitarian outreach programs in a wide range of communities globally, and by collaborating with other artists around the world.
Currently, BST is conducting artistic and educational projects in Afghanistan, India and Kosovo, with past projects in Pakistan, Colombia, Brazil, China, Indonesia, Bosnia, Serbia, Romania, and elsewhere.
The company has received a prestigious MacArthur Award, as well as support from the National Endowment for the Arts, Trust for Mutual Understanding, Arts International, Mellon Foundation, and other donors.
Bond Street Theatre is an NGO in association with the United Nations DPI.
