Blue Hills Genealogical Society - Barron County

We are a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit charity organized in 2002, but registered with the IRS in November 2010. Our mission is to serve the genealogical needs of Barron County, Wisconsin residents, as well as anyone anywhere in the world who has roots in Barron County, Wisconsin. We hold meetings once a month from February-November. Our research room is open Monday afternoons and Thursday evenings for members or non-members. Our members pay annual dues. They receive our bi-monthly newsletter, Genealogical Echoes from the Blue Hills, as well as free genealogical research assistance. We have ongoing projects, such as gathering of obituaries for our files, photographing and indexing of all the cemeteries in Barron County, and indexing of contributed materials such as church histories.
