The Blackhawk chapter of K.E.Y. Club spends the entire year promoting and participating in philanthropic projects in our local community and beyond it. K.E.Y. stand for Kiwanis Educating Youth, to develop service and leadership. Annually we raise money for Cystic Fibrosis "Great Strides" by recycling, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Beaver County, & the Make- A- Wish foundation, along with buying Christmas gifts for local HEADSTART And Early HEADSTART classes. We serve as escorts for the Beaver County Special Olympics in May, and make Christmas cards for the Beaver Valley Nursing Centere senior citizens.This year we are also supporting the Penn State Dance Marathon for the 4 Diamonds Fund, and plan a baby shower for Beaver County Lifeline, and the Women's Shelter of Beaver County. Two years ago, we had over 6,200 service hours in one school year from our students.
