Description
The Birds of Prey Foundaton located in Boulder County, Colorado is dedicated to treating injured and orphaned wildlife, primarily raptors, such as hawks, eagles, falcons and owls and returning healthy members to their natural habitat. The Foundation's mission also includes fostering compassion for wildlife in distress and teaching through mentorships, internships, and educational programs. Birds of Prey Foundation also works to continuously improve the quality of care and housing of captive raptors through education; observation, invention and exemplary ethics in their treatment and husbandry. More than 500 birds are admitted to the Foundation annually and on average over the last 25 years 63% have been released back to their natural habitat.
