Description
The Birchtree Center improves the quality of life for children and youth with autism and their families through nurturing relationships, therapeutic programming, and specialized education. Students with autism aged 3-21 come from more than twenty school districts and developmental agencies in New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts to attend our year-round special educational day program in Newington, New Hampshire--the only program of its kind in our state. Our Outreach staff travels more than 6,000 miles per year to provide consultation, training, services, and educational programs to students, families, schools and agencies throughout northern New England. Teams of experienced autism professionals help students develop the communication, social, behavioral, academic, vocational and life skills necessary to lead full and productive lives in their homes, families, local schools, and communities.
