Mission - The mission of BBBS is to empower community youth. We serve the emotional, social, and educational needs of children ages six through eighteen by facilitating professionally supported relationships with one-to-one mentors.
Core Services -The Big Brothers Big Sisters brand of mentoring is not a set program but rather a system for delivering the safest, most consistent, and most productive mentoring relationships possible. The most important value to producing these relationships is the dedication to professional staff supervision and support of all BBBS relationships. BBBS provides mentoring services in both school settings as well as within the communities we serve.
BBBS of Northwestern Michigan has proven success in creating and nurturing relationships between adults and children. Our service is based on our volunteers; its effectiveness is guaranteed by rigorous standards for professional case management.
