Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Michigan has been providing volunteer mentors to area youth since 1968. Studies have shown that BBBS mentoring results in the improvement of a child's competence, confidence and caring-resulting in better grades at school preparedness, better relationships with their peers, and improved ability to avoid delinquency and substance abuse.
