Description
Our Mission: We empower at-risk youth to achieve their full potential by individually matching them with responsible adults from their community.
The children we serve: Are boys and girls ages 6 to 18 and are 46% Latino; 27% African-American; 3% Asian, and 5% identify as multi-ethnic. Without intervention, the young people we target at best risk academic failure, and at worst gang involvement and entanglement in the juvenile justice system.
Our Proven Results: We know, thanks to studies conducted by some of the best researchers in the nation, that our Littles are less likely to experiment with drugs and alcohol; they are less likely to turn to violence as a way to solve problems; and their attitudes towards peers, family and school improve.
