Description
Creative Pitch gathers unwanted and/or gently used art materials from local advertising agencies, printers, paper mills and design studios and redistributes them, free of charge, to under funded art programs throughout the Chicago area. Since September, they have supplied over 30 elementary and preschool programs, art therapists and special education teachers with materials serving over 12,000 Chicago area students from low-income households. New applications are received and approved every week. The program has been so successful in Chicago, it will be rolled out as a national model in 2009.
Creative Pitch is an initiative of BFriend, Inc. and was created by Brainforest, Inc.
It relies on the generous support of volunteers and firms in the Chicago advertising and design community.
