Description
Bethany's Gait is a non-profit organization dedicated to "rescuing horses and children together." We rescue horses who are neglected and/or abused (most of our horses come to us through animal control agencies who have confiscated them from their owners) and bring in at-risk children (primarily foster care children) to help us rehabilitate them. The children learn how to care for and ride the horses. Our philosophy is to pair the child with the same leader and the same horse on each visit. Through this process the horse and child create a bond that allows them to heal together. We do not charge for our services.
