Description

Beth Hark Christian Counseling Center, Inc. is a recognized 501(c)(3) faith-based organization that serves as the social service arm under the auspices of Bethel Gospel Assembly, Inc., and is located at 2-26 East 120th Street in the village of Harlem, New York.

Our mission is to “Offer Help, Healing and Hope” to the whole person. We are committed to empowering those whom we serve, through education and information-sharing, to make the changes necessary to better their individual family’s life circumstances, as well as providing them with the tangible tools with which to effectuate change.

The services we provide are free to anyone in need--from the many hours of free counsel to those with life-wrenching conflicts to the food assistance provided through our Soup Kitchen and Pantry Programs which serves residents of Harlem and the surrounding communities.

The recently released statistics in the report entitled, “NYC HUNGER EXPERIENCE 2011:SACRIFICE AND SUPPORT” attest to the fact that many New Yorkers face food insecurity and are forced to compromise healthy nutrition due to limited resources. We are targeting our efforts to combat food insecurity, as well as the incidences of obesity, hypertension and diabetes so prevalent in the African American and Latino community.

We strive to continually enhance our ability to combat food insecurity, keep pace with the increase demand for the services we offer, enhance our ability to meet the needs of our consumer and avert any reduction in our hours of operation.

The services such as those we provide are vital and we can’t continue to provide them without you help.
