Description
The Bernardine Center is an outreach social services agency in the city of Chester, Pennsylvania. It was founded in february 1986 by the Bernarine Franciscans Sisters to help address the many challenges of low income Chester residents. The center offers educational programs to improve the life skills and quality of life of our community brothers and sisters. Programs includes English as a second language, Family Initative, Advocacy Training, Nutrition, Referrals for additional assistance, Women Initiative,and the FatherHood Iniatitive. We also have a food pantry, where our community briothers and sisters comes in and we give them a selection of food to take home, this provides 15 meals a month. The center also has a brunch where we cook and serve meals 3 times a week.
