Description
The Bennington County Association Against Child Abuse d/b/a Bennington County Child Advocacy Center & Special Investigations Unit, is a multidisciplinary team that ensures children and families involved in sexual abuse or egregious physical abuse cases receive constant child-friendly services from law enforcement, prosecution, and protective services; including timely and effective education and counseling. The Center’s 40-member Multi-Disciplinary Team promotes cooperative efforts between municipalities, police, prosecutor’s office, medical community, child protective services, schools and other advocacy groups. Our goal is to conduct quality investigations that might result in prosecution, to reduce stress and trauma to the victim and protect the victim in the community.
