Description

Before Dialysis Hook Up is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization that was created to educate,
empower and support individuals in a support group setting, that have been diagnosed with kidney disease and those that are at high risk of kidney failure in Houston (Harris County) and Galveston (Galveston County) Texas.

Over 26 million Americans (one in nine adults) have chronic kidney disease; more than 20 million more are at an increase for developing kidney disease and most don't even know it. Hypertension and Diabetes are the culprits for kidney disease. There are 5 stages of kidney disease and we will provide an overview of what they can expect as it leads to dialysis. A good nutrition plan is essential to everyone, but especially to those who are affected by kidney disease.
