Description

The mission of the Bed-Stuy Campaign Against Hunger (BSCAH) is to end hunger by distributing food and empowering families through information and support.

Currentlye, BSCAH operates a supermarket-style food pantry, where clients are able to choose the items they want from the shelves. This model reinvests people with the power of choice and lends dignity to the process of emergency food distribution.

In addition, BSCAH counsels and refers their clients to various agencies for finding jobs, getting housing, obtaining welfare benefits, and receiving legal aid.
