Description

The STARS are a special needs color guard team made up of students from middle and high schools in the Beaverton School District. They are the first and only special needs color guard in the Northwest. They sponsored by the Beaverton School District.
The “STARS” color guard tells a story with the use of music. The performance uses dance, interpretive movements, drama, color and equipment to bring a story to its audience. The “STARS” is a special needs color guard. It provides a unique venue for students to learn teamwork, experience personal growth, learning a routine, and promotes social connections with other teammates and families not typically found in other activities geared toward special needs children. The STARS perform in exhibition in front of thousands of spectators at major color guard venues and community events during the school year.
