Description
Bear Smart Durango is a 501(c)3 non profit organization that: 1) educates residents on how to coexist with black bears, 2) advocates for meaningful policy changes to reduce human and bear conflict, and 3) works to make bear-resistant trash containers more available in our area.
Our efforts are aimed not only at saving the lives of bears, but creating a safer environment for community members who live or recreate in bear habitat.
