Description
Established in 1974, the Bay County Library System currently includes four branches: Alice & Jack Wirt Public Library (Bay City, MI), Sage Branch Library (Bay City, MI), Auburn Area Branch Library (Auburn, MI) and Pinconning Branch Library (Pinconning, MI).
Mission Statement
"...to promote the love of reading and foster the pursuit of knowledge by delivering quality library service which furthers the information, education, recreation and cultural interests of the community, thus enriching the quality of life for all county residents."
To help carry out this mission, the Bay County Library System provides four branch libraries offering a variety of programming and maintains membership in the Mideastern Michigan Library Cooperative and the Valley Library Consortium. We are located in Bay County, Michigan, on Saginaw Bay.
