Description
Basket Brigade of Delaware is an organization whose volunteers deliver food to families most in need, in time for Thanksgiving.
Our hope is that those touched by this kindness may someday extend such kindness onto others.
The Basket Brigade of Delaware, a registered, non-profit organization, began in Wilmington in 1991 by a small group of individuals willing to give their time and money so that less fortunate families could enjoy a Thanksgiving meal.
We delivered a box of food and a turkey to 2,408 families in 2009.
