Description

University is located in Miami Shores. Our university is well above the national average of 30 percent for first-generation students enrolled in four-year private colleges, who are first in their immediate family to attend an institution of higher education. We are ranked No. 1 in the Campus Ethnic Diversity category for universities in the South. Due to all this diversity Barry University's Volunteer Center offers great opportunities for the students to become active members or their communities. One of theses opportunities includes our Alternative Spring Break program. Here our student become more educated and experience all sides of a social issue. This year we were able to take a group of 30 students to help those that were affected by Katrina in New Orleans and low income families build their homes in South Carolina.
