Description

The Barefoot Doctors’ Academy (BFDA) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that was started in Louisiana under the name of Birth Rite Education Center in 1983.

BFDA does mostly educational work, teaching people how to take care of themselves, their family and friends, and extended community.

BFDA also maintains emergency supplies and has a disaster response team that helps survivors of disasters.

Purpose & Goals
The purpose of the Barefoot Doctors' Academy is to further humanitarian ideals by promoting informed health awareness and holistic education. We focus on fostering the realization of the human potential on an individual basis. These services are administered under a nondiscriminatory policy to a diversity of cultural backgrounds.

Our goal is to enhance world peace and well being.
