Description

Our Rescue brings in cats and dogs that need temporary homes, while we get them vet checked and sterilized. Sometimes they come to us sick, injured or abused, and we need them to stay with us while they recuperate or rehabilitate, then get them ready for adoption. When the cats and dogs are ready for adoption, we take them to adoption events, where we do our best to match prospective pet parents with our rescue pets. We are New Hope partners with Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, and Rescue Partners with Arizona Humane Society.
The Homeless People’s Pet Project: Approximately 10 percent of the Phoenix homeless have a pet. These pets provide comfort, loyalty, and support. There is no judgment, just deep and unconditional love. Many of the homeless give up their own food for their pets. We believe that nobody should have to choose between eating and feeding their pet. The goal of this project is to provide pet food to the homeless. By doing so, we will provide nutritional support for their pets, and eliminate the need for the people to go without food just to keep their pet fed.
