AventWest Children's Mentoring uses a "holistic approach" to mentoring children, incorporating tutoring, feeding and programs on nutrition, health, self-esteem, peer pressure, and making healthy choices. This program is based on the concept of interpersonal relationships between adult volunteers and at-risk children promoting confidence, competence, and caring attributes.
