Description

Attitudinal Healing Connection (AHC) is a non-profit organization based in Oakland, California. AHC envisions a world where everyone is whole, safe, loved, educated, and valued. AHC works to eliminate violence by offering creative, educational programs that uplift the human spirit and build peaceful and loving communities for all humanity. Our work is based on the Principles of Attitudinal Healing-a non-traditional approach to mental health that develops resiliency by promoting self-awareness, mindfulness and compassion. Through our educational programs, workshops, events and healing circles, we cultivate skills in personal development, community leadership and the arts. Over the past 23 years AHC has served over 55,000 children, youth and families, 13,000 adults and 1,200 teachers and other professionals. AHC services include diversity training, arts and literacy programming for youth and adults, community leadership training, support groups and retreats, and Mindful Drumming.
