Description
Athletes United for YOuth, (AUFY) is a 501 c (3), not for profit youth organization with the goal of providing quality, affordable after-school programming for low-income youth in Charlotte-Mecklenburg communities to equip them with skills and experiences to become responsible and productive citizens. It also provides a prevention response to the growing need for positive development experiences for youth during a time when they could easilty be influenced by negative behavior. AUFY also provides a "Safe Haven" during the after-school hours when families are not present.
We do not charge for our after-school program.
We have a strong commitment to building character and self-esteem, as well as enhancing academic skills and creating model citizens for life.
