Description
AOF is a educational association in Sacramento devoted to the understanding and civic acceptance of "unchurched" citizens, including atheists, agnostics, skeptics, and the religiously nonaligned. Our goal is not to bash religion or religious believers, but to act as a catalyst for understanding and mutual respect. We host educational programs, engage in community activities and service projects, and in general try to be visible.
A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, AOF is one of 50 member societies of the Atheist Alliance International. It is affiliated with the Council for Secular Humanism, American Atheists, and the American Humanist Association. And yes, some of members are religious believers.
