Description

The Association of Black Cardiologists, Inc., (ABC) was founded in 1974 by a group of fourteen (14) African American cardiologists, out of a need to bring special focus and attention to the adverse impact of cardiovascular disease on their African American patient constituents. Since its humble beginnings, the ABC has grown into an international organization representing over 600 cardiovascular professionals and their patients.

Although focused on narrowing the gap in the disparity of healthcare acquisition and quality, and length of life between African Americans and their white counterparts, the ABC is an inclusive organization whose outreach spans all ethnicities and social demographics. We are advocates for equal access to health education, preventative care/treatment options and health care career opportunities for an increasingly diverse population.
