Assistance League of Tucson is an all-volunteer philanthropic organization that proveds essential goods and services to improve the lives of disadvantaged men, women and children in the greater Tucson area.
The organization has 5 philanthropic projects:
Operation School Bell - supplies over 3,000 children in-need annually with new clothing, hygiene items and school supplies in order to promote self-esteem and encourage school attendance.
Educational Support Project - provides classroom reading and individual tutoring, theatre experiences and magazines for children.
Assistance League Operation Tutor - provides funding to pay under privileged students of high academic standing to tutor other students.
Starting Over Supplies - provides new basic household supplies to families in crisis situations.
Assault Survivor Kits - provides basic clothing and hygiene kits to men, women and children whose clothes were retained for forensic study following an assault.
