Description
Assistance League is a national, nonprofit, volunteer community service organization that helps children and adults in need cope with difficult situations and get a fresh start.
In Atlanta, six programs are operated, funded, and run entirely by 100 percent volunteer efforts. The programs enable us to comfort traumatized children (Bears for Children), fund college scholarships (Links to Education), aid the homeless and abused (New Beginnings), clothe students in need (Operation School Bell), support patient rehabilitation (Shepherd Center Patient Support) and provide layettes to newborns (Wee Help).
80 percent of the funding for all philanthropic programs is raised by selling gently used clothing and household items in the Attic Treasures Thrift Shop.
Attic Treasures is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday-Saturday on Thursdays until 7:00 p.m.
