Description

Assault & Abuse Services of Stephenson County, Freeport, Illinois is a not-for profit, 501(c)3 agency providing services since 1975. The agency is a sexual assault and abuse treatment center, providing therapy, case management, advocacy and information and referral. The agency presents a program of prevention in all county schools both public and private from pre-kindergarten to high school level. In addition to trained professional staff, the agency has a cadre of trained advocate volunteers. The purpose of AASSC is to offer individuals and families support, intervention and education provided by caring, qualified persons in cooperation with others who share the challenge of treating and preventing sexual assault and abuse.
