Description
APEX is dedicated to promoting the development of inner-city Asian American youth by providing them with adult role models, educational programs, social services, and career guidance. The organization was founded in 1992 by a small group of young professionals who recognized that Asian American youth, particularly recent immigrants, have unique needs and mobilized volunteers to address them. APEX seeks to empower youth to be well-rounded, productive members of society by helping them build their self-confidence, explore career options, develop leadership skills, embrace their Asian American identity, and access resources and networks to achieve personal goals.
