Ashley & Hobie Animal Welfare (AHAW) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles.
At AHAW our responsibility is two-fold: Direct and indirect animal rescue. We do direct animal rescue about six times a year, dependent on our resources at the time. We will save an animal from a shelter, address all medical needs, and find loving permanent homes for them. All adoptions require an application, home check, adoption fee and contract.
Indirectly, we facilitate animal rescue with our message board. The original message board was launched in 2006 and To date, we have helped save thousands of animals by bringing together the animal community. Members of the message board include donors, shelter volunteers, networkers, rescue organizations, transporters etc. AHAW found that by working together as a community, we can help each other save the animals. We also offer donations whenever possible to both independent rescuers and to qualified rescue organizations.
